If
you’ll be away for awhile, ask that your pet have a kennel bath their last day with us
so that they will smell fresh and clean for your return.
With our
large temperature-controlled indoor facility we can board up to 80 dogs and 10
cats at one time. Every dog kennel features an
off-the-ground bed with comfortable bedding and water dish. Different
kennel sizes insure that your pet has the room they need to stretch out
and the deluxe kennels are great if you have dogs you want to board
together. You can bring your pet’s own blanket and food
or we can provide both comfortable bedding and food (we use Eukanuba
low residue brand dog and cat food). If
your pet is on medication, let our
kennel personnel know so that they can administer it at the appropriate time.
Your dog will love being taken out for exercise
at least three times a day in our covered, fenced and expanded walk area. Waste material in
our outdoor area is routinely removed and our kennels are kept clean inside
and out to prevent the spread of contagious diseases. Toys and treats
are also provided to keep your pet happy.
Cat condos are in a
separate space and also feature off-the-ground beds plus a separate litter
box room. These condos also work well for any rabbits, guinea pigs, or ferrets you
may want to board.
To board your pet you'll need to have them up-to-date on their distemper (DHLP-PV), bordatella
(kennel cough),
and rabies vaccinations and free of fleas or other external or
internal parasites (cats need Fvrcp and Rabies). If you are not a client of Middendorf Animal Hospital
you will need to bring written proof of vaccination from your vet before
boarding or you can call us ahead of time so we may contact your vet and
have them fax the information to us. These vaccines MUST be
administered AT LEAST 10 DAYS PRIOR to the day your pet is
boarded. This is for the well-being of all of the pets who are
boarded with us. Call our office to schedule a visit today!
